Goals of the Long Island Consortium Systemic change in instructional practices to produce pedagogical innovation and greater cooperation in instruction across quantitative disciplines. Creation of new courses and curricular materials that promote the integration of the mathematical sciences with subject matter in quantitative disciplines. Development of human resources with improved teacher training and enhanced participation by underrepresented groups. The Project is based on three types of interconnections for attaining these goals:
